Full Circle Mental Health Services

Psychotherapy for adults across the Washington, DC region. Independent forensic and correctional psychology for courts, attorneys, and correctional systems nationwide.

Welcome

Full Circle Mental Health Services is the practice of Dr. Marcus R. Patterson, PsyD, CCHP-MH, a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist with more than a decade of experience at the intersection of psychology, the law, and human well-being.

The practice is deliberately small. I see a limited number of individual psychotherapy clients, which means the people I work with get sustained attention from a doctoral-level clinician rather than whatever a caseload of eighty will allow.

I also serve as an independent forensic expert to courts, attorneys, agencies, and correctional systems. From 2022 through 2025 I served as a mental health expert to the federal Special Master in Coleman v. Newsom, the class action governing mental health care across the California prison system.

The same standard applies to both sides of the practice: careful assessment, defensible reasoning, and no shortcuts.
